Connect your own domain

With Pro, your site can run on a domain you own, like www.yourcompany.com.

  1. Upgrade to Pro on the Pro plan page.
  2. Go to Your domain and enter your domain.
  3. Log in where you bought your domain (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, Squarespace, Cloudflare, and so on) and open its DNS settings.
  4. Add the CNAME record shown on the Your domain page. If a record for www already exists, edit it instead of adding a second one.
  5. Come back and press Check again. Most domains connect within an hour. Some take up to 24 hours.

What about the version without www?

Most domain companies can't point the bare domain (yourcompany.com) at a site like this directly. Turn on domain forwarding at your domain company and forward yourcompany.com to https://www.yourcompany.com. Your domain company's help pages call this "forwarding" or "redirect."

Still not working?

  • Check the record name is exactly www and the value is exactly what's shown, with no extra spaces.
  • Remove any other A, AAAA, or CNAME records for www.
  • If your DNS is on Cloudflare, set the record to "DNS only" (gray cloud).
